Nattu Koli Fry | Country Chicken Fry | How to make Country Chicken Fry

Chicken is favorite to all people. Better avoid taking broiler chicken, it is grown mainly for meat in the controlled environment. Country chicken is best it is rich in high quality protein and it  is grown in large numbers and it is easily available in shops.

Nattu Koli fry is prepared by using freshly grounded masala items. Freshly grounded masala items will give good taste to this dish.
Country chicken fry can be served along with rasam or sambar rice. The person having cold can take this country chicken fry or soup, so it reduces the cold.

Ingredients for country chicken fry :

Country chicken pieces - 500gms
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies - 4 nos
Smallshallots - 10
curry leaves - few
salt and oil

Dry roast

Coriander seeds - 3 tbsp
Red chillies - 4
Cumin seeds + pepper seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1tsp

Preparation of country chicken fry:

 Pressure cook the country chicken

  1. Wash the country chicken in water by adding turmeric powder. Add ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp + 1 green chilli + turmeric powder + 1/2 tumbler water then pressure cook the chicken for 4 whistles.
  2. Add less amount of water for boiling, while chicken is boiling it will release some amount of water.
  3. Heat oil in the pan and add fennel seeds , red chillies , curry leaves , salt.
  1. Then add sliced small shallots + ginger garlic paste and fry them for few minutes.
  2. Add boiled chicken along with water and cook until water evaporates.
  3. Dry roast the ingredients to make fine powder.
  4. Finally add dry roasted masala powder to country chicken .
