How to clean chicken pieces
Add the chicken pieces to bowl and wash in tap water. finally add 1/2 sppon of turmeric powder to chicken and wash them.
How to serve chicken fry
Chicken varuval can be served along with rasam , sambar rice , roti, chappati.
Ingredients for chicken fry
Chicken pieces - 250 gms
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 4 + Green chilli - 2
Curry leaves - few
Garlic - 15
Small shallots - 15
Ginger - 1/2 inch, thinly sliced
Tomato - 1/2
chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
salt and oil
Instructions for chicken fry
Step 1 :
Add oil in the pan, allow oil to heat then add fennel seeds , red chilli, green chilli, curry leaves.
Step 2 :
Crush the garlic in mortar. Fry them until brown.
Step 3:
Crush the small onions in mortar and slightly fry them. Add tomato and sliced ginger.
Step 4
Add chicken pieces, turmeric powder, salt.
Step 5
Add water - 1/2 tumbler to chicken and allow to cook.
Step 6
Add chilli powder, coriander powder.
Step 7
Stir fry the chicken until water evaporates. Finally add coriander leaves.
