Eeral fry | Mutton liver fry

Mutton liver fry or Eeral varuval is healthy and tasty dish can be given to children. This dish is dry and prepared with less amount of spices. Liver is considered to be most nutritious  part of lamb. Mutton liver is rich in Iron , protein and vitamins and these enriches hemoglobin content in the blood.

Mutton liver should not be overcooked,  it will turn into hard and rubbery.

Ingredients for mutton liver fry

Mutton liver - 100 gms
Fennel seeds - few
Small shallots - 5 nos
Green chilli - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder + Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt and oil

Preparation of mutton liver fry

  1. Heat oil in pan and add fennel seeds.
  2. Add onions fry them until brown in color. Add ginger garlic paste and green chilli fry them for a minute until raw smell of garlic goes.
  3. Add mutton liver and saute then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala and salt.
  4. Add half glass of water and allow mutton liver to cook.
  5. While switch off the flame, add pepper powder and mix well.

  1. oh yummm, I love liver but we dont get them over here only chicken livers. maybe can try the gravy on chicken liver instead. you blog is lovely by the way.
